The University College of Nursing, in keeping with the vision of the institution, strives to offer education of the highest grade in the art and science of Nursing, thus equipping men and women for service towards relief of suffering and promotion of health alongwith providing various opportunities to settle in the field of nursing as well as education on various posts in India and abroad.
University College of Nursing, Faridkot is a constituent college of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Faridkot. It is widely known as centre of excellence in the field of nursing education and skill development in Government sector and north zone of state Punjab.
It was established in the year 1992. In 2001, it was upgraded to college of nursing vide notification no.11/299/01-5SS3/4770 dated 14.10.2002. University College of nursing is a leader in research and innovations. Its main focus is on activities beyond academics, organizing various extracurricular events. The institute imparts teaching and training to B. Sc Nursing, Post Basic B. Sc Nursing, M. Sc Nursing, and NPCC, Post Basic B. Sc Nursing diploma in Oncology and Post Basic B. Sc Nursing diploma in Neonatology students.
The faculty of University College of Nursing aims to provide core of excellent education, in depth knowledge regarding each subject to students. The are also always eager to give hands on skill to students in clinical area to make them enough efficient to provide evidence based care to patients in all departments of 1000 bedded parent hospital Guru Gobind Singh medical college & hospital, Faridkot.
The faculty always guide to students in other academic activities like organizing academic events at regional, national and International level.
The students of University College of Nursing, Faridkot participate in various competitive exams and quizzes at various levels bags various awards under the guidance and training of specialized teachers.
The campus of college is situated in complex of Guru Gobind Singh medical college & hospital, Faridkot.

The College of Nursing fosters a culture of caring while embracing its commitment to training its individuals towards professional excellence, leveraging technology, research and innovation in nursing education. We believe in character building, spiritual strengthening, and overall development of students, to prepare them to be socially responsible, sensitive and adaptable human beings. In the area of research, the College of Nursing strives to promote a spirit of scientific enquiry, commitment to truth, and high ethical standards among students and faculty.
The College of Nursing commits itself to ameliorate and maintain the standards of nursing education and practice in the country and abroad, respecting transcultural values.
